Our rehabilitation staff includes:
- Physical therapists to help you increase strength and mobility, improve balance, and decrease pain. They develop individualized plans to help you recover from an illness or surgery and to manage chronic conditions.
- Occupational therapists to help you manage daily activities such as bathing and dressing. They help you safely perform everyday tasks and regain as much independence as possible at home, work, and in your community.
- Speech therapists to help you regain or improve the ability to speak with ease and clarity, regain or improve overall memory and thinking skills, and eat safely.
Meet Our Program Director
Erin H. White, MS, CCC-SLP, oversees the staff of our rehabilitation program. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2003. Erin has extensive experience treating on interdisciplinary teams in a variety of settings in North Carolina, Kentucky and Texas. Her primary areas of specialization include speech, language and cognitive communicative deficits resulting from strokes and traumatic brain injuries as well as evaluation and treatment of swallowing. Additional specialized training throughout her career has led to proficiency with modified barium swallow studies, fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing, Passy Muir speaking valve evaluation and treatment, myofascial release and other manual techniques for dysphagia, and VitalStim therapy.
